July 4th

I know it's July 12th, but I still wanted to post my July 4th pictures. First of all, I want to say how grateful I am to live in this great country! We are so blessed and I am so thankful for the freedom we have. I am so thankful for the sacrifice our men and their families (past and present) have endured so that we can have our FREEDOM!
We celebrated several ways. First, we went to our local parade. We all enjoyed it! It was not as hot as in the past, so it was definitely more fun. I forgot my camera, so sorry no pictures from the parade. Next, we went to Michael's parents'(Papa and Grammy) home for the afternoon. We always enjoy visiting and do so at least twice a week. Then we went to the town of Mitchell fireworks display. Mitchell is a small town, but they do their fireworks in a big pasture. Everyone either gets in the backs (or on top) of their pick-up trucks or car and watches them. No fireworks though... it started to storm. Oh well, we had fun waiting.

Justin with some blackberries he picked from Grammy and Papa's back yard. Poison ivy already had made its attack from the day we went to the farm. Justin and Jonathan playing with a net. Justin "catching" Jonathan.
Ryan being tickled by his Uncle Joe
Ryan on the way to see the fireworks. He was showing me how they sound.
Ryan was spared the dissapointment of no fireworks. He drifted off on the way there.
Jonathan-his usual silly, self!

Everyone waiting... and waiting...
The boys weren't too horribly dissapointed because they knew I had bought them some sparklers. They were happy about that!
