Snake
Seems we have black snakes in our field. This one was 5' long. Justin spotted it, and then he and his brothers and cousins proceeded to whack it to death with their guns and swords. Yuck; I detest snakes. I am glad it is dead.
Oh, gak! I remember all the black snakes on Long Island. My brother says they still have them there, even though the population has greatly increased since I lived there. We just have regular garden snakes here. I'd die if I saw a long black snake like that.
Ok, you don't actually let your boys know you don't like snakes do you? I fake it big time. I don't want that sparkle in the eye to appear that I see in them when a girl squeals and says, "Ew snake!" So calmly say, "Wow, look at him. That's a big one. No thanks I don't care to touch him, I'd have to wash my hands. Why don't you take him back to the woods now...or kill him... that might be best." Then I take my pounding heart inside the house and rest. :)

Oh my! *shudder* Good thing you have those big, strong boys to hunt down the snakes for you!
