Yep, I've done it! I decided that since I wasn't having any babies this year via my usual C-sections, I decided to have an appendectomy. I woke up early on Saturday in pain and after all evening in the ER, I finally had my appendix removed. I am doing well. Not a ton of pain... just realizing how out of shape my arms are. They are really sore today from bearing all my weight to keep from using my stomach muscles. After this, I think I am going to work on getting those arm muscles in shape! Charlotte (my awesome mother- in- law), Michael and my boys have been great. Also two of Michael's aunts have pitched in to help with meals. In times like these you realize how good people really are.
And yes, I have been accused of doing this for attention. :-)~

Aww...Kim. So glad it went well and that you're back home again. I would like to do something to help you...just let me know, okay? I don't want to bother you when you're resting. I love you and I'm prayin' for ya. And just to go on record, I was not one of the ones who thought you did this for attention :) Get better soon!

Michael has been great... laundry, cleaning, taking care of the boys and of course waiting on me. So don't feel like you have to do anything. Thanks for coming to see me too! Love ya!
Oh, Kim, you know you did this for attention! haha I'm just kidding. Yeah, that's kinda crazy, you decided to stop having kids, but you continue the "surgery" tradition. And about the arm muscles...me neither...My arms have NO muscle whatsoever!! I wish we could go work out together!! I need a workout buddy. I hope you feel better! Love you!

So sorry you've had to go through all this. You know, you could play this out a little longer and just keep enjoying the meals and having Michael do the laundry, cooking etc.:) I think I've been accused of playing out my delivery recoveries a little longer than necessary. What they don't know won't hurt!:)
My word, is that what happens when you skip a few years having babies.

Hey Kim - Maria told me you had surgery. I'm not up on my medical procedures, but you'd think that in 1 of those c-sections they would have taken your appendix and saved you this trouble! Get well soon! "Hi" to the boys!
Bless your pea-pickin' little heart! So sorry, Kim! I, too, ended my run of c-sections this year....now I'm paranoid my body may get me anyway!
