"The Hardwick family of Creation Sensation were stuck in Walmart for a few hours after picking up a screw in a tire. This little Easter video is what come out of their boredom. Enjoy and remember!"

Wow! That's really something. The secular culture certainly has taken over and over-ridden anything that was ever Christian in our country. Of course, there are fewer Christians than there have ever been, percentage-wise, in our country.
I see the solution for all of this as revival! But, revivals are sovereign moves of God. They can't be worked up or trumped up.
I have never really worried about the Santa/Easter-bunny thing, and had a minimal amount of stuff like that around when my children were small, but that was 20 years ago, and the secular stuff was not as predominant (not that I think it is a sin to have it).
Now, however, that is ALL you see any more, and I have gotten disgusted and thrown out all of that stuff that I had in my house, even stuff the church people gave us (and you'd be surprised at how many church people give their pastor and his family Santa stuff for Christmas presents!).
I agree with you. Especially about revival!!!
I try really hard to keep Christ in everything. Like this year at Christmas we didn't "do Santa" but I didn't call him "Satan" either.
My boys actually told my grandmother and aunt that Santa is dead. LOL!!! I told them the story of the old Santa and they asked me "well, is he still alive?" It didn't bother them at all though. This year I plan to make an advent calendar with all kinds of treats leading up to Christmas day.
You can have fun while still keeping this sacred.
Some people think you are doing your children a terrible dis-service if you make it more sacred. I don't understand that AT ALL since that is the whole reason you are celebrating.
We colored eggs obviously (and hid them Sunday afternoon), but I bought religious ones and the stickers were so pretty!
There was even a little matching game in there that went over the symbols of the Resurrection. I really liked that.
I think Jesus is sad with us as a nation replacing Him.
That was a nice idea about the religious Easter eggs. Yes, you have to keep God in things like this.
Yes, I agree...I think Jesus is VERY sad that as a nation we are replacing Him with all kinds of secular things.
I like the little plastic eggs that you can buy in the carton, in the Christian book stores, that have little things in the eggs, like crosses, donkeys, nails, etc. I thought that was very nice.
We had some jelly bean favors once. A little plastic bag full of jelly beans in the colors of the "wordless book", and a bookmark was attached explaining the gospel according to the colors: black for sin, red for blood, I forget what the yellow and green were for now, and white for our souls now that Jesus has washed them. You can probably still buy them from a Christian supplies catalog.
