Paper people

Remember the paper people we used to cut out as kids? You fold paper several times, cut out a shape of a person, and then when you unfold it you have several people holding hands.

My boys had a lot of fun decorating paper men today.

Before you think my children are "disturbed", look at Justin's from a scientific perspective. This is a man, and you are viewing different aspects of his anatomy. I had to chuckle when Justin said "here is his cochlea, hammer, anvil, and stirrup" (we recently studied the ear for school).
(Click any of the pictures to see a close-up.)
Jonathan decorated his men as Ninjas. At least they are smiling! :-)

Ryan's men are very colorful!

Totally adorable! I love how they each had their own unique way of "decorating" them...very funny about the "ears!" ..hey, at least you know he used his and listened during school time, huh?!!

Kim,

What happened to the paper women? (laughter) Anyway, these are cute! Like Civilla, I had forgotten all about these paper people. I like Ryan's the best because they look like rainbow people (smiles).

Civilla, perhaps you could do a series about 1950s toys... that would be so interesting!

Melanie, Since we built a giant crawl through ear with the parts of the ear, read several books, did several "ear" experiments, he better remember! Sometimes with wiggly boys, that is about what it takes!

Mrs. Lady Sofia,
I did cut out a set of girls to be the wife of Justin's men (after I had posted), however the other 2 boys had very little interest in them.

Not that I am at all surprised since Ryan (age 4) told me yesterday during a story I was reading, "I will NOT 'look' at any of the girls... only the boys". Very silly, indeed.
They have this "boy power" thing going right now. I am sure this will change once they hit say.. um... 14 or so? And then I am sure they will look at girls. :-)
Justin has always liked girls to a degree. He even had a big crush in Kindergarten!
