What kind of woman do I want to be?

Not feeling very well today so I have been resting and reading.
I loved this quote enough to drag myself off the couch and post it:

"The world has enough women who know how to be smart. It needs women who are willing to be simple. The world has enough women who know how to be brilliant. It needs some who will be brave. The world has enough women who are popular. It needs more who are pure. We need women, and men, too, who would rather be morally right than socially correct."

So true! I wish I had time to rest and read! I think I'll never get caught up on the over 100 blog postings I haven't seen yet!

Kelly,

I wish I could do that more often, but being sick and on a Sunday I allowed it.
I recently decided, after reading a couple of life-changing books, that I would try to make time for it. I felt the same way you do (not enough time!) but I just started sneaking in a few minutes here and there. I have even set a timer for 15-30 minutes!
Michael and I have made it a priority to have a book going together. Whatever shift he is on, when he gets up, I take a few minutes to read to him while the kids are working on their chore lists or playing.
We just finished "Family Driven Faith" by Voddie Baucham. Very controversial but very challenging!

Right now we are reading "Preparing Sons to Provide for a Single Income Family" by Steven Maxwell.
These books force us to think about things we would never have thought of before and we have some great discussions because of them. I love it!
I challenge anyone to read something like this to their husband. It really has brought a sort of spiritual revival into our home. There have been days where we didn't have time and Michael, who has never been a huge reader, says "I miss our book"!

by the way...Hannah is sitting here and she saw the picture of Ryan and said "Who's that little boy..the one that's my baby...he said 'I'm not your baby!'" haha and she's still sitting here talking about him. She's so funny...she still calls Ryan her baby. LOL
